Marcella collaborates with museums, universities, Tribal Nations, cultural organizations, public agencies, and community partners to create documentary films, multimedia lectures, exhibitions, workshops, and public humanities programming. As a filmmaker, publicly engaged scholar, and interdisciplinary artist, she brings together documentary arts, archival research, Indigenous storytelling, and visual media to create projects that connect history with contemporary experience.

Her work spans experimental nonfiction, moving image, sound, and community-based research, exploring the relationships between memory, place, family, and Indigenous knowledge. Whether developing a commissioned documentary, presenting original research, or collaborating on a public history initiative, Marcella works closely with partners to create projects that are responsive to the communities they serve.

In addition to film commissions, research, and multimedia lectures, Marcella collaborates on projects involving tribal cultural resources, interpretive media, archival storytelling, and creative mitigation. Her work creates opportunities for dialogue, education, and cultural continuity through film, research, and public engagement.
